Course Summary

This is a practical, two-day, live-online Certified ScrumMaster course for people who want more than a slide marathon. You will work in a Scrum Team, make real decisions under time pressure, build and inspect a product, adapt your plan, and reflect on what helped or hindered the team.

Along the way, Brock connects the Scrum framework to the human work behind it: creating clarity, facilitating useful conversations, supporting self-management, responding to impediments, and helping teams learn from experience.

Brock's promise: Expect an active learning environment with real practice, useful reflection, playful challenge, and grounded conversation. You will leave with a clearer understanding of Scrum and practical next steps you can use with your team.

Your mastery map

What You Will Learn and Practice

Eight connected capabilities take you from understanding the framework to using it with a real team.

Scrum foundations and empiricism

Define Scrum, connect it to the Agile Manifesto, and experience transparency, inspection, and adaptation.

Accountabilities and collaboration

Explore how the Product Owner, Developers, and Scrum Master work together to create valuable Increments.

Events, artifacts, and commitments

Understand the purpose and boundaries of Scrum's events, artifacts, Product Goal, Sprint Goal, and Definition of Done.

A complete Scrum simulation

Perform Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective across three Sprints while building a product with your team.

Quality and technical debt

See the impact of an unclear Definition of Done, then improve quality and reduce surprises in later Sprints.

Facilitation and group decisions

Practice techniques that help teams form, make decisions, surface different perspectives, and move forward together.

Product Backlog work

Explore Product Backlog refinement, stakeholder collaboration, Product Owner authority, and the role of the Sprint Goal.

Impediments and true leadership

Analyze organizational impediments and distinguish when a Scrum Master facilitates, teaches, mentors, or coaches.

Learn by doing

How the Learning Works

Every concept moves through a deliberate learning loop, so Scrum becomes something you can reason about and use—not just terminology to remember for a test.

Step 01

Experience

Enter a game, simulation, or team challenge before being handed the answer.

Step 02

Reflect

Notice what happened, compare perspectives, and make the invisible dynamics visible.

Step 03

Explain

Connect the experience to Scrum theory, purpose, boundaries, and practical choices.

Step 04

Apply

Try again with new insight, adapt your approach, and carry the learning forward.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Your approved live course, CSM exam fee, practice test, and two-year Scrum Alliance membership are included. Scrum Alliance includes two exam attempts when they are taken within 90 days of the course.

How big are the classes?

Classes typically include 6–15 participants so there is room for personal attention, discussion, team practice, and questions about applying Scrum in your context.

What support is available after the course?

You receive course resources, personalized one-to-one tutoring support until you pass the exam, and lifetime access to the Superheroes Academy Slack community of Agile professionals.

I am a project manager or do not work in software. Is this relevant to me?

Absolutely. Scrum is used well beyond software, and this course welcomes people from project management, operations, finance, education, healthcare, product, and many other fields. The activities help you reason about Scrum in your own context.

What is the course format?

This is a two-day, live-online course delivered through Zoom and Mural. Expect breakout teams, games, simulations, short teaching segments, structured reflection, and frequent debriefs—not a slide marathon.

What is the refund policy?

We offer a 100% money-back guarantee on your CSM purchase any time before you receive your certification. If your package includes a microcredential and access has already been granted by Scrum Alliance, the refund is reduced by $75 for each granted microcredential.

Can I reschedule or ask about a discount or payment plan?
